WHAT DOES PROTEUS, LLC DO WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Why?

Financial Companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.

What?

The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:

  • Social Security number

  • Name and address

  • Transactions relating to your interest in a pooled investment vehicle

  • Holdings in one or more pooled investment vehicles

When you are no longer an investor in one of our advised funds or otherwise our client, we continue to share your information as described in this notice.

All financial companies need to share clients’ personal information to run their everyday business. In the section below, we list the reasons financial companies can share their clients’ personal information; the reasons Proteus, LLC chooses to share; and whether you can limit this sharing.

Who is providing this notice?

Proteus, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. Proteus, LLC sponsors an alternative investment platform that makes available to qualified investors, through a fund-of-funds structure, professionally managed investment strategies managed by third-party investment managers.

WHAT WE DO

How does Proteus protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. We also restrict access to information about you to those employees and authorized agents who need to know that information in order to provide products and services to you.

How does Proteus collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you:

  • Submit a completed subscription agreement to subscribe for interests in a pooled investment vehicle we manage

  • Make a wire transfer or tell us where to send money

  • Tell us about your investment history or objectives

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus and governmental entities.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only:

  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes –information about your creditworthiness

  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you

  • Sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. See below for more on your rights under state law.

DEFINITIONS

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. Our affiliates include multiple private funds that are managed by Proteus, LLC. and Keystone International Holdings, Inc. which is the parent entity of Proteus, LLC.

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Proteus shares with nonaffiliates for the purpose of servicing your account, not so they can market to you.

Joint Marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • Proteus does not enter into joint marketing agreements.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

CA Residents: We do not share your personal information for joint marketing with other financial companies.

VT Residents: Except as permitted by law, we will not share your personal information with nonaffiliates.

MA Residents: We do not share your account information except as permitted or required by law.
